Hmm, effusive gratitude. I would trade genuine, consistent and widespread gratitude for effusive anytime. Effusive sounds like something we feel when we are “off the hook.” We seem to be awash in effusive these days – makes me wonder a bit about motive. Enthusiasm, you bet! Humility, absolutely.
