Confession

So often, in daily life as much as great cases of national malfeasance, it is the cover up that will get you, rather than the crime. Admitting our mistakes and our failures, apologizing and setting a new course is so much harder—and more useful—than trying to make sure no one finds out how flawed we are.

What mistake do you need to admit to so that you can move on?

  1. Well, maybe. I suppose that’s the genius of Catholic confession: tell your “mistake” to somebody who is bound to tell no ne else. Generally, though, blabbing what nobody wants o know does not equal honesty.
