“The important work of moving the world forward does not wait to be done by perfect [people].” –George Eliot
How might your imperfections help you to move the world forward?

Creative people have the ability to see imperfections as opportunities. As an amateur artist, I have learned that perfection is not the ultimate goal when I am painting. The goal is to bring a painting to life. The “mistakes” are often what allows the canvass to bloom. Jazz musicians know this too, and incorporate their “mistakes” and imperfections into a piece when creating a new sound. They use the imperfections as a point of discovery and build upon them. They don’t stop the music and start over. I have found this principle to be helpful in other areas of my life when I am struggling to move forward.
