Sometimes what we admire most in a garden is the elegance of a single rose or the voluptuous lines of one creamy calla lily. But often times what really strikes the eye is a mass of color, a patch where you can’t make out any single blossom, but only the brilliance of the whole. Sometimes when each one of us is not all that impressive or effective, all of us together can have a big impact.
How do you join with others to create something bigger than you can do alone?
I’m not sure I do this anymore. When I performed as part of a musical ensemble – symphonic band, flute choir, regular choir, etc. – I played an important role in something much bigger than myself. I suppose that being part of a support group also allowed me to participate in something bigger, but I don’t have one of those right now, either. Maybe being part of CLF can eventually be something sort of similar, but I’m neither an official member nor do I really feel part of the community at this point.

I don’t join anymore – folk say they want me; then they find out who I am and what I stand for, and they don’t have room for me. I used to believe strongly in networking … until I started getting ostracized. Now, I don’t know who to trust, anymore.
Blessings,
