“Consciousness expresses itself through creation. This world we live in is the dance of the creator. Dancers come and go in the twinkling of an eye but the dance lives on. On many an occasion when I am dancing, I have felt touched by something sacred. In those moments, I felt my spirit soar and become one with everything that exists.” –Michael Jackson
What act of creation makes you feel you have been touched by something sacred?
As someone who did massage therapy/bodywork for many years, I have often found myself transcending the ‘usual’ and being the means/facilitator of a client’s body’s healing/tansformation – a process both exhilarating (to be the ‘tool’ that the body is using to change) AND extremely humbling (to understand that my hands are no more important in that process than the table or the oil – that the change comes from within the client). There truly is NO way to describe that ‘zone’ but anyone who has been there, no matter what they created, knows of what I write!
One of my truest values to myself is creativity. If I cannot do something creative, a part of me feels as if it is dying. I love sewing, jewelry making, doing crafty things for my home and my family. They all give me a spiritual lift. However, what makes me feel as if something sacred is actually touching me creatively…. I would say it has to be when I am being creative with with nature… Gardening, pruning trees so that they can grow more artistically, arranging rocks so they give off different feelings.
I was just caught in a driving rainstorm. Rain is sacred.
