The Jewish harvest festival of Sukkot is celebrated by building a little temporary structure outside, and hanging out over the course of a week in this three-sided hut which, by definition, has a roof that you can see the stars through.
When you are home, how do you find ways to connect with nature?
Walking. It isn’t hard for me to connect with nature this way. There is a trailhead to an unmarked trail within walking distance of my house. Also, we live across the street from a lake. Turkeys, bears, rabbits, deer and snakes are some of my neighbors.
Like Eric, I do a lot of walking. There’s a forest nearby as well as fields. I also look out the window fairly often.
