For those who live in frigid climes it can be hard to remember in the height of winter what spring even looks like. But spring always comes. Eventually.
What helps you to remember spring in the frozen times of your life?

In the depths of winter, I remember how I feel when spring finally arrives. The thrill of a bit of warmth, finally being able to open the windows to let in fresh air, the budding trees and blossoming flowers. Spring is such a thrilling time for me and I truly do catch spring fever! All of the possibilities for the year lay before me: what will I plant in the garden, beginning to exercise outside again, the excitement for the upcoming summer and all of the feasts and festivals it brings with it. I grew up in the deep south and never had a chance to experience the true wonder of what spring can be. When I became and adult and moved back to the upstate NY of my birth, to experience that first winter followed by spring was an absolute joy! To this day spring and fall remain my most favorite seasons of the year.
