Waiting to be Fed

FeedMeBaby birds wait, beaks to the sky, for food to magically appear—as it almost certainly will. Sometimes patience and faith are all we need. The adult bird, however, had better get off its tail feathers and go hustle up its own grub.

How do you find a balance between trusting in the universe to provide and taking responsibility for creating what you need?

  1. I will probably mangle this quote but it pretty well sums up how I feel.

A young man said to the universe, “Sir, I exist.”

“I know.”, replied the universe, “but that does not install within me a sense of obligation.”

  2. A great question. My answer is, by ‘Accepting the things I cannot change, changing the things I can, and having the wisdom (when I can) to know the difference’.
