Busy as a Bee

BeesAtWorkBees are certainly both industrious and useful, buzzing from flower to flower, collecting food to store, and pollinating plants in the process. But it could be that they understand themselves not as worker bees, but rather as gluttons, spending all day sipping sweetness from the most beautiful sources.

What useful activity feels to you like play?

  1. I’ve been retired for about 14 years, and I really miss the work as a research biochemistry assistant. Some of the times were a lot more enjoyable than were others, but now I remember mostly the enjoyable periods. My most enjoyable personal relationships were connected with my work. The hours were long and there were times that things went pretty wrong. We were always anxious about getting money to do our work, but now I mostly remember successes.
    We were happy bees, mostly!
