Successful professional athletes are big heroes in our society, but what about all the tired people who manage to get themselves outside to play ball with their kid, or walk their dog, or run around the neighborhood because they know they will feel better if they do? Don’t they deserve a few hero points?
What physical activity deserves to gain you hero points?
Almost 80 and 60 pounds overweight I keep going to Zumba class.
My thing is walking. The past two days I have managed to keep a pretty good pace for about a stop-watch timed thirty minutes. That is about one and a quarter miles. Both days have been pretty structured being “company” and travel, but it is and was better than not walking at all. My goal is three 24 minute miles of one hour and fifteen minutes in two forty minute outings each day now that we are back home. I am hoping that writing this down will motivate me to go ahead and do it!
