The goal in baseball is to go on a journey around the bases and return back home again. Sometimes you hit a home run and make it all the way around based on your own extraordinary efforts. But more often you depend on others to make the hits that allow you to progress around the bases. As often as not, we need others to help us get home.
Who helps you to make it to a place of home?
I believe that the people who work for me as helpers….plumbers, cleaners, yard workers, home decorators, fixer-uppers, light bulb changers…are the ones who help me have a place called home. Without them I would not be able to enjoy a comfortable environment in which to live.
