Oranges only ripen on the tree—it doesn’t work to pick an orange that isn’t ready and have it ripen on your windowsill. Sometimes we need to take the time to be just where we are—to hang on our own particular tree—and wait for the point when we are fully prepared to share our gifts.
What are you patiently allowing to come to fruition?
I believe that it takes patience to recognize that one is becoming wise. With time it can be understood that the experience of years is worth something not only to the individual but also to others. Wisdom is not supposed to be given randomly, in my opinion. When it is asked for, or is given as an answer to a question within a group or by an individual then I think it should be shared. However, receiving it by others is not the responsibility of the giver.
