“There’s a crack, a crack in everything…that’s where the light gets in.”
–Leonard Cohen
What cracks in your life have let the light in?

Something like a crack was evident in my earlier life related to a faith affiliation. I attended religious services with friends, only to discover that I was not at ease with the beliefs and procedures there. One friend suggested that I might be comfortable exploring the at-the-time Unitarian group in the city where I lived. It turned out to be a revelation to me in that I found an environment that buoyed me up and has sustained me for decades. Never having joined another spiritual faith group before that time, I consider myself an “original” Unitarian, but now, of course, a UUA member as well as a supporter of the local fellowship and UUFSC. Discovery of this wasn’t easy and I have heard others say that they also had difficulties in finding our open, non-creed approach to growing spiritually.
