Dead End

Dead EndWhen you get to a dead end, the street stops and there’s no way to drive on. But, oddly enough, there’s always something there at the end of the street: a field you could walk across, a door you could enter. Sometimes a dead end is merely a declaration that the way forward will require radically new tactics.

How have you managed to go forward when it seemed like you have come to a dead end?

  1. Seems like a place of pure potential, the dead end. What is death? the end, or a new beginning? Giving up is true death! Let us not give up, but LIVE, inquiring, learning, exploring with curiosity, making more and more mistakes and triumphs in the process.

  2. The death of someone close to me always gives me a start. It makes me do two things: think back to all of the episodes with that person, both good and bad, and in some ways, pick those that are the most appropriate to retain and toss out the others. Then one needs to use reason to know that one’s own life will change and head in another direction, not connected to this loss.
