Bees have a reputation for stinging, and thistles have a reputation for thorns. But put them together and you end up with honey, which is nothing but golden sweetness.

Making committees work in a small UU fellowship is difficult. When there aren’t enough people who can or will assume responsibilities, not much gets accomplished except for discussion about ideas, good or bad. It takes finding a leader and then those who are willing to work hard on the project or long term activity. However, when and if a committee finds itself to be a coordinated, willing and able group, there is the gratification that their work has been successful in support of the well being of the fellowship and hopefully brings in some new enthusiasts to add their talents and hopes for more and more !
