My cup runneth over with joy, says the 23rd psalm. Sometimes our cups are overflowing with joy, but sometimes it is work, or sorrow, or anxiety or excitement that feels like it will burst the bonds of our hearts. Perhaps that overflowing is why our hearts never do actually break.
What feels like it is spilling over in the cup of your life?
Fear; its cousins anxiety, worry, and panic; and the stress and psychosomatic problems they cause.
Martin, I feel a concern that you are under this burden.
Uncertainty: even though I plan for certain events to take place, and arrange my schedule in all the right ways, I come up sometimes with quite a different situation and result. I’ve learned, however, through work and play, to tumble with it; at a certain point, I just let it roll on its own unless there are small steps I can do to keep it going along. Sometimes the results are more fun or interesting than those that were in the first plan after all!
