The other in my go-to is another Pat; she and I have much in common besides our first names and middle initial although I add an extra “t”. She and I have been acquaintances and now closer friends for over 30 years: we worked together for a while. She, now a widow, and I, single, are able to share “joys and concerns” fairly equally, as much as is usually possible between good friends. Especially when either of us has something to “discuss”, we use phone conversations, and the result is a usually a comfort. She is 10 years younger but the age difference isn’t particularly crucial. It’s a good feeling to have her as my “name sister”!
