Sometimes life forces us to go slow, to follow the signs that demand that we take it easy.
Has idleness that was not your choice ever been a blessing?

An event whch has put me into a different mode of living has caused me to consider a slower pace; it is a natural result, I think. There has been more than one incident within the last several years when I have (unexpectedly fallen…isn’t that always true?). When these accidents happen, I try to find the answer to why it happened. I often can. However, there are other times when I can’t. So, rather than risk having falls , I am using my Dad’s old cane to train myself and this changes the way one maneuvers body, purse, a hanging cane at the counter, where to put it in the car, etc. The MOST IMPORTANT part, however, is that it forces me to SLOW down, not in idleness but in respect to my earlier gait and walking. I hope it will be a useful solution.
