“Forgiveness says you are given another chance to make a new beginning.”
―Desmond Tutu
What are you willing to forgive in order to gain a new beginning?

During my working years, I had occasion to find that our top leader in the State Library was one who asked that her plans and wishes concerning my department should be carried out without consideration for my previous obligations with other librarians in our state. I was unable to comfortably accommodate to her requests in what appeared to me to be a necessity to give “short change” to my planning with others for conferences already in progress. I came up without a negotiable solution and I continued to think that it was all her fault. Although I retain some of that feeling, now, I have forgiven her for her choices in wanting what she saw as best for the organization’s progress. It was a difficult situation to accept, but during that time I did accept it, and now I can better understand it.
