In what areas of your life is it more helpful to think about sufficiency rather than abundance?

Thinking about sufficiency, I realize that I never buy more than one tube of toothpaste at a time. Even then I use the tube to the bitter end! However, recently, during a rather spare financial time, I realized that I have quite a few small samples of toothpaste from dental visits. So, confusing as it is to me(?), I’m working through multiples now, but I’m not very happy about it. I much prefer one nice fat tube at a time. However I am a two rubber band person: if one breaks, all is not lost, right?
