A trip to China some years ago with a companion has had a marked influence on my participation and understanding of Tai Chi. We were present to see dancing by young Chinese employees (also waiters and housekeepers) on a short cruise trip down the Yangtze River. The grace and loveliness of their movements was breathtaking and garbed as they were in exotic costuming, it took my breath away! So, now as I participate in my Tai Chi classes weekly, I can be transported back to those moments of pleasure and imagine that I am among those young dancers.
