In spite of the famous line from the movie Jaws, you don’t always need a bigger boat. Sometimes what you already have is quite enough to get you where you need to go, even though you might feel dwarfed by what you see around you.
What about your circumstances seems daunting, and what do you trust to see you through?
Sometimes the boat isn’t big enough. Sometimes daunting circumstances are really actually daunting circumstances. Your boat sinks. You drown. A whole lot of people die trusting something or someone to get them through.

It seems to me that the end of life process can appear to be daunting, as some say, but when I realize that millions have gone through the process, I don’t feel so alone. Although it is an “alone” process, I believe that I have the inner competence to understand and integrate it as it continues. Combining my understanding and acceptance with help from friends, it may become one of the most impressive events of my life.
