This butterfly has found the beautiful flower, but still has quite the maze to navigate amongst the petals to reach the nectar at its heart.

Although I have studied art and painted independently in my studio and outside in plein air during appropriate periods, I have periods of knowing that my work that tries to show high activity and value has not done so.Temporarily “she” has left me; my Muse is gone . My paintings right now are outside of that realm in which I can convince myself that a painting of mine is excellent and a proud showpiece. It should be of high quality in both theme and technique. I hope I will recognize it when it appears to me and is finally completed.
