“And in the end, we were all just humans… drunk on the idea that love, only love, could heal our brokenness.”
―F. Scott Fitzgerald
When has love helped to heal your brokenness?

Wow. Drunk on the IDEA that love heals us. Is it love that heals, or is it the idea that love can heal which comforts us? I see many people who have faith, faith I don’t always feel myself, in things that heal them. People who speak about a friend in Jesus, or their relationship with God, neither of which seems real to me. Can imagined love from an imaginary lover heal? Can our own love heal, is it our own loving, given out from us, perhaps reflected back from even an imaginary lover, that heals us? Is the healing in the love received from others, or is it in the love given out to them? Like an action and its reaction? Is it both? I think both.
