We come to know one another through our stories – often seeking common experiences or people or places we have in common. Often these personal stories reveal something about us which surprise and delight, or shock, others. It would seem that people have a lingering first impression or put us in a stereotype – only to find out that we may be someone different. Thankfully we do tell our stories –
albeit often enhanced for dramatic effect – which is also part of who we are.
