The sun’s light reveals our surroundings to us, makes it possible to see where we are going. But there are also things which are hidden to us by the daylight, including the fact that we belong to something far bigger than we can imagine.
What do you see when you step away from the light of analysis and reason?
I see (in my mind’s eye) something so large, so distant, so unfamiliar that it scares me. How is it that I exist within such immensity? If I set my mind to thinking about it, however, I realize that my life is part of something colossal and that without all that exists around me, I likely would not exist myself. There is a richness in the unknown that I believe we will continue to discover.
