Some days clouds seem like the lightest things imaginable: the thin wisps of cirrus or the cotton-ball fluffiness of cumulus. But on other days clouds advance with oppressive gravity, the threat of flooding moving in across the sky.

Perhaps by following these types of changes in the sky in the Midwest lately, I have somewhat followed their patterns in my personal life. I notice that I watch the sky more often right now since we have had in the Midwest rapid changes in the weather: bright HOT sun; rapidly approaching grey sky followed by torrential rain hammering on roofs of home and car. Prefacing the turbulence are strong, threatening winds that blow in from the western prairie as large tree branches sway and swirl outside of my window. . Surely all of these changes must have some influence on my personal feelings.
