They say that you have to play to win, but the saying leaves out an important part of the equation. What is the prize that you really want? Are you buying your tickets for the jackpot that really means the most to you?
What jackpot do you most deeply hope you could win?
Gambling is not “my thing” usually. I seem to think that the odds are against me. However, once at a cooking demonstration, I was the winner of having a blanket cleaned at a local shop!? However, I am going to propose an idea that could benefit me psychologically: if, in some way, the winning prize would be to give me the opportunity to have senior care free for the rest of my life, think of what a sense of relief that could be! As one grows older, as economics fluctuate, as services change, many of us…senior citizens… face a point in our lives where we wonder what kind of quality care will be financially available for us as we face the end of life. With certain policies in place, this win could give me and others too, a sense of security and comfort. Yes, I know about governmental Medicaid services, and believe that’s a step in the right direction, but our state, for instance, refused Medicaid assistance offered to the states with a two year limit which then turned over to the state; since our state operates with a no debt law, I understand some of our Assembly members negative vote, but in the meantime, there are thousands of our citizens who are suffering without it.
