“When all the world appears to be in a tumult, and nature itself is feeling the assault of climate change, the seasons retain their essential rhythm. Yes, fall gives us a premonition of winter, but then, winter, will be forced to relent, once again, to the new beginnings of soft greens, longer light, and the sweet air of spring.”

How do the seasons affect how you feel?
I need to live in a four-season climate. I need the predictable seasons seguing into each other, or else I feel out-of-sorts, without the seasons grounding me. After I missed most of a summer being sick in the hospital, I found myself feeling out of sync, that the seasons changed too early–a feeling I oddly still have 13 years late.
Maggie, I too have the sense of each autumn coming with a special meaning; teaching something, somewhere is still part of my swing through life and its changing seasons. Sorry for your hospital stay but the coming season my help to invigorate you.
I must admit that I have a certain sense of excitement as each of our four seasons appears and puts on its own act! Having spent two years in a much less changeable place where there were scarcely two seasons, I eagerly look forward and have decided that I like each season which has its fury, gentleness, challenge and own kind of beauty. Perhaps I look forward to Autumn especially because it may be in my psyche since I was born in September.
