“I will lift up my eyes to the hills, from whence cometh my help,” writes the Psalmist. Or you might lift up your eyes to the clouds or the moon or the sky at sunset—whatever helps you past the daily grind and into the grace of the beautiful.
Where do you turn your gaze when you need help?
Perhaps, but I really don’t know, I look into the heart of a flower. I often have a bouquet at home to brighten my life and the beauty of just one flower intertwined with the others will help sometimes to take me out of sadness into beauty.
I can only say that this particular psalm is framed in my room.
