In Catholic tradition a rosary is used to keep track of the number of specific prayers one has said. But a rosary or other prayer beads also connects prayer to the body as beads slip through the fingers.
What physical objects are part of your prayer life?
I don’t use a specific article nor maintain a certain prayer schedule. Currently I am hosting a young Muslim who prays the regular five a day schedule. He also resorts to going to the local mosque when he has a specific concern, I believe. It is a major part of his life. Praying is not a very effective way for me to get in touch with my spirituality. When I find I have a problem, I try to resolve it with analytical reasoning.
