You might not expect to find the Virgin Mary in a wine shop. On the other hand, it happens pretty often that we meet the Holy residing in places where we did not anticipate discovering it.

What may be called the sacred is an individual decision. I have been surprised to see glass encased religious candles to be used in adoration (?) of the Virgin de Guadeloupe in the local grocery superstore. There are other food items that will appeal to customers who are from or remember the traditions of Mexico since the tale is of Pedro who saw the roses imprinted on his cloak and was the basis of the belief. I see no harm in the store carrying this item but it seems that it probably is seen as sacred by just a few of the customers. Am I surprised? No. Our commercialization of items is rampant.
