Perhaps the greatest grief of our time is the specter of global disruption due to climate change. Sometimes, in the face of such a huge, seemingly insurmountable problem, all you can do is pray. Sometimes, how you pray is through your actions.
What is your active prayer for this planet?
Hoping for the survival of our planet may have a somewhat different vantage point than in earlier times. Recently I listened to a TED talk, indicating that maybe we should face the fact that we exist on a planet with its source a dying sun; that we live on a planet with, as we may discover, a limited source of life support. Therefore, it may be more important for us to discover how we may be able to mutate our human selves to move to another planet in a different form of life. However, doing this will prove difficult and controversial; if we truly want to consider what will be available for our great, great, great, great grandchildren, we will have to employ radical IDEAS. This is my prayer.
