It turns out that a lot of people who don’t believe in God, and don’t ordinarily pray, find themselves praying as the airplane they are in prepares to leave the ground.
Are there situations in which you are surprised to find yourself praying?

There are times when I just must put myself into feeling trust in anothers; this is centered on that one person or those who are responsible that all of us be safe. I am giving my thoughts to the pilot or the mechanic or the driver that she/he has experience to do the right thing at the right time. The accumulated knowledge that has evolved in the human race makes me rely on this, knowing, however, that this is not always the way things go. This impulse in me to think this is what I guess is a prayer.
