Not Yet Ripe

not-yet-ripeWhen you’re ready for the plump, sweet tomatoes of summer, it’s hard to wait. But as anyone who has tasted the difference between a store-bought tomato and a home-grown tomato knows, there’s really no getting around not yet ready.

What change feels worth waiting for?

  1. Being in the thoughtful process of deciding what type of dwelling will be “best” for me within the next years is something I not only anticipate but also continue considering. Having rented a home for over 20 years from very gracious landlords, it is something that takes a good bit of my thinking time. There are features that are becoming more difficult but I’m so tempted to make adjustments that will let me stay put. Meanwhile, I am using help from others to let me be comfortable and safe here.
My hope is that I don’t have to grow older in a “rest home”; I am resting rather well right here.
