“Let go of the battle. Breathe quietly and let it be. Let your body relax and your heart soften. Open to whatever you experience without fighting.”
―Jack Kornfield
How do you relax your body?

Deep breathing does it for me. I learned the simple technique and , for me, it works wonders. Standing or lying down, breathing deep into the lower belly with mouth closed and then releasing slowly the air through partially opened lips is my style. (Learned it in Tai Chi.) “Cool air in: warm air out”. Keep doing it until a feeling of relaxation comes upon me. I also developed my own “manta” so that usually my mind concentrates and avoids thinking of problems. Mine is “Lovely, luscious yellow lemon” Strange, but appealing to me.
