When we work together we can accomplish amazing things. But only if each of us contributes our share of amazing to the process.
What amazing thing have you done in concert with other people?

Working together as a planning committee does not have to have “bad” connotations. During my tenure as Youth Coordinator at the Missouri State Library, planning with other youth librarians all over the state were willing and able to assume responsibilities that made conferences work well because they each agreed to do something to make the project a success. From the one(s) at the established site to the one(s) who did the copying and preparation of the pertinent materials, we worked together . Some of the nationally outstanding children’s and young adults’ authors were part of these conferences and I’m sure Missouri stood high on the lists of places where excellent books for youth were included in public library collections because of this.
