“There is a fountain of youth: it is your mind, your talents, the creativity you bring to your life and the lives of people you love. When you learn to tap this source, you will truly have defeated age.” —Sophia Loren
What activity keeps you young?

It’s the work I do–training, writing and consulting with people about how to get what they need from others, while building bridges rather than burning them. Every time I contemplate fully retiring, I know in my gut that it wouldn’t be right for me, that I want to keep going and growing.
go for it, Margaret! That’s what keeps you “young in heart”!
Strange for me to accept, it is my appearance! Fortunately, I believe, I seem to appear younger than my chronological age: people often comment “Oh, you can’t be THAT old!” Well, I am! Of course, inside of me, and perhaps not apparent, I have some of the usual older age complaints. However, my physical appearance helps me feel younger than I might otherwise and I suppose I try to match my activities to my appearance. A friend in Peru used to say “Patricia, you don’t have any wrinkles; why not”? I really can’t answer that.
This happens to me, too. When I was a little girl, I looked like a small adult. But since growing up, I’ve always looked about 10 yr. younger than I am. As a professional in my 20s, that worked against my getting credit for having as much experience as I did. However, since about 50, it has worked in my favor, except that sometimes I wish people would cut me more slack re the physical issues, e.g. with my feet. I’d gladly trade a few more wrinkles if I could go hiking again.
