Not Just for Artists

Creativity is not just for artists. It’s for business people looking for a new way to close a sale; it’s for engineers trying to solve a problem; it’s for parents who want their children to see the world in more than one way. —Twyla Tharp

In what non-artistic way are you creative?

  1. As a trained artist, but without my muse right now, I certainly define creativity as a state of mind that resides in everyone. Cooking, gathering beautiful leaves just because, participating in a brainstorming session, receiving a friendly smile from the bus driver…all these and other ways allow it to emerge. People who don’t accept that gift given to us are to be encouraged as well as pitied if they don’t find their own style of being creative.
