When have you walked away from safety and toward freedom?
My Peace Corps service permeates my life. In the early 60s, teaching art in a small Kansas town, I could have stayed there and felt secure and happy. However, I chose to leave that behind for two years and by doing that, I recognized my personal state of freedom which changed the rest of my life.
