Bought and Paid For

Money doesn’t just buy the things we need or want, like groceries and heating, it also buys big ticket items like political influence.

In the face of Big Money politics, what do you see as the most powerful tool of those who are not wealthy?

  1. The Chicago experience is you pay politicans NOT to do things to you. You’re not paying for influence, you’re paying for protection.

    1. In my opinion, what a shame. Our elected representatives are supposed to be those who represent our needs that we have and establish ways this can happen. Pockets of corrupt politicians are deep, aren’t they?

  2. I am trying to supposed the national effort to encourage the public (whoever that may be right now?) to support the movement called MOVE TO AMEND. Its intent is to abolish the current Constitutional amendment that , in essence, says “Corporations are people” and have the same rights to vote, donate campaign money (who knows who of the Corporation is behind a donation?). I see it as a long struggle to rescind but worthwhile one.

  3. How about voting. (?) Lots of parading in the streets but few at the polls.
