If you could wash away the sands of time you might be able to see your roots—the things you learned in your earliest childhood, the teachings you gleaned from your parents and ancestors without ever being aware that you were learning.
What of your roots is visible to you at this moment?
I am not able to trace the roots from many of my family due to being with them only occasionally.. However, from my Dad, I carry the sense of respecting persons, by whatever state of work or life I may find them. I respect the people who clean the public restrooms or carry away the trash or bring my mail to me and I like to acknowledge this to them with a THANK YOU for helping to make life nicer for me in whatever way they do. I believe they deserve a compliment as much as a teacher or city official,
