With your bitter, twisted lies,
You may tread me in the very dirt
But still, like dust, I’ll rise.”
–Maya Angelou

One thought on “I’ll Rise”
As I continued to work at my profession after the appointment of a new leader , I began to learn that her style of working together and mine were distinctly different. Although we were both interested in the same outcome, her insistence that I follow her order to take often immediate action to accomplish her ideas put me in the position of having to dismiss projects I had already established with others in the state. I stayed quiet. trying to accomplish both without an overt disagreement. It worked.
