I have said for years that we need less “I want” and consumerism and a lot more thankfulness. It is a major mistake for the country to push Thanksgiving out of the way for more “I want” around Christmas. In fact the best part of Christmas is thankfulness. We do best when we concentrate on being thankful for the birth of a child–God on earth, instead of fixating on the gifts.
