What makes a hero? Is it standing up for others? Standing up for yourself? Fighting evil? Doing good? Perhaps a hero is anyone who is courageous in following what is good.
What heroic thing have you done lately?

During the current campaigns for our next US President, one of the candidates bowed out about midway in the search. I liked his statements about “what he could do as president”. After his self removal, he has continued to work for a Democratic candidate in his state, gathering together a crowd of followers who did door to door campaigning for a state candidate. His and the crowd’s enthusiasm shows that his cause is just and his co-citizens support him in this cause. I did my little bit of heroism by sending $$ and an e- message in support.
The COMPASS inspirations often serve as discussion topics for UU Finding Heart groups in our congregation – so thank you for this CLF gem. An observation: We are now in a time when thereacts are as often heroines as those of heroes. A-men? A-men! (pun intended) The act – heroics – is a good way to think of the inspiration! Thank you for these little blessings of inspiration. They eddy out in more ways than you can imagine.
Thank you, Warren. As a former COMPASS user, now back again, I have found that at times when we reply to each other, pro or con or neutral, it is gratifying to have communicating in this way among members.
