Rest

This month, we will explore rest. Rest as a spiritual gift. Rest as a divine right. Rest as something we need to approach with reverence. Rest as something we have been taught to avoid, even when we need it most.

What is your relationship with rest?

  1. The last few years I have been forced to rest due to increase in fibromyalgia symptoms and depression issues. I rebelled against it because those long term invisible illnesses cost me my dream of becoming a Unitarian Universalist minister. Now as I work through my greif about this, rest helps me to have the energy to spend time with my husband and grandchildren. Rest is a must in my life at times. I do until my body says “STOP.” I need to heed my body when it starts to say “stop.”
