Jazz

In jazz, members of an ensemble must incorporate the mistakes their fellow musicians make into their own music, building upon them and responding to them.  To not do so would only highlight the mistake, creating music that is ugly and hard to listen to. The responsiveness of a jazz ensemble to mistakes is the musical equivalent of the essence of community.  The ensemble must live interdependence in order to create art.

How have you responded and built on mistakes to make something beautiful?
