Each of us brings a lifetime of experiences to bear on who we are and how we are in community. Sometimes, these experiences are different enough that we come to different answers to the same questions.
How do you honor that your experiences are different from those of others?
My experience with war, Vietnam, and my consciousness of the principles of a just war, have interfered with my trust of our government and governments around the world. I hold those institutions to a higher standard than they seem to accept. That erodes my comfort in living in this country and world. I can relax and live, but that takes much energy. Help me understand and love again.
