Magick

Many people I know differentiate between magic and magick (or magik). Our notion of “magic” has so thoroughly become conflated with illusion that some feel that we need a different spelling when we are discussing conjuring a different reality through means that are not obvious.

How do you experience magick?

  1. I experience magick every morning when I sit at my Ancestor altar. I make them a cup of tea or coffee, and talk to them about my upcoming day, what I have planned, and thank them for watching over me. I bless them, thank them for their love, protection and strength, and go off to start my day. Even though their corporeal bodies are no longer present on this plane, I feel them near and with me.

    That, to me, is magick.
